Is there a minimum gift to become a member of the Legacy Society?
We want to encourage every person to make a planned gift to St. Francis or to Rosary School. Every gift is welcome, and there is no minimum amount.
What if I make a planned gift, but change my mind at a later date?
Certain types of planned gifts, such as a bequest or designating the beneficiary of an IRA, can be reversed. Other types of planned gifts, such as a charitable gift annuity, cannot be reversed. Please consult your estate and tax professional.
How do I get more information about the financial advisors listed on this website?
A "Planned Giving Professionals List" has been compiled, which includes a summary of the services that each professional can provide and an estimate of the cost. Please refer to the "contact us" page to request a copy of the list.
When do I complete the "Statement of Intent"?
For those people that make a planned gift, it is important to complete the Statement of Intent. The parish would like to express its gratitude. Please return the statement when your estate plans have been finalized.
Can I remain anonymous?
Absolutely. There is box on the "Statement of Intent" form that should be marked.
Can I talk to someone at the parish before I contact an advisor?
On the "contact us" page there are members of the parish who are extremely knowledgeable about planned giving and the Legacy Society. Please give them a call or send them an e-mail.
